At Coil Sprung we believe in protecting your investment and providing you with a Defender you can use year round with the confidence that it’s not corroding away under and around you.
Chassis and bulkhead. Our frames and firewalls are hot dip galvanized. This process involves submerging the parts in molten zinc ensuring the zinc gets into every cavity and seam in a way no sprayed coating can possibly achieve. Unlike any applied coatings the zinc forms a metallurgical bond that creates intermetallic layers, harder than the base steel itself, resulting in an extremely abrasion resistant coating that can last for decades and resist the harsh North American winter road conditions.
Winter starting and cabin heating. Our diesel Defenders can be fitted with both auxiliary cabin heaters and engine preheaters to ensure both an easy start and comfortable drive in our cold winter climate. These heaters are stand alone units and don’t require mains electricity to start or run. If you store your pride and joy inside we’d only recommend the cabin heater for a comfortable winter ride.
